Mcain or Obama;Day has arrived finally

“Three days to turn the page”, said Mr. Barack Obama to obamavoters in Nevada during the US election campaign. The UmccainS election 2008, scheduled for Tuesday November 4, will be the 56th consecutive quadrennial Presidential election.
The Democratic Party has chosen Barack Obama, the junior United States Senator from Illinois and the Republican Party has selected John McCain, the senior United States Senator from Arizona.
Current election is unique in its nature because for the first time in the United States entire history two senators will run against each other and first time major political party has nominated an African American for president. Another interesting thing we have is that both major candidates were born out side the continental United States. Obama born in Hawaii and McCain in Panama Canal Zone. Whereas Joe Biden_the democratic nominee for Vice President would be the first Roman Catholic Vice-President and the Sara Palin, the first woman candidate for Vice-President office.
As the election is unique in its kind, the effects will also be unusual in the Middle East and South Asian Region. Mr. Obama has different mind set than his rival John McCain. Up till now, Barack Obama is successful in presidential campaign because of the judicious ability of decision making and due to the steadiness of his temperament. These are a few of his well-known qualities.
He took an executive decision by selecting the Joe Biden as his running mate. This decision was made carefully after evaluating him through all the angles.
Republican candidate John McCain seems to continue the policy of Mr. Bush and favors the military operations in Middle East, Afghanistan and other parts of the world. That means the old brain in the new skull. It will be another threat to the US economy. If McCain continues the failed policy of his predecessor, it will bankrupt the US economy and exhaust the resources.

Where as the Barack Obama has a different point of view. He has opposed the deployment of US soldiers in Iraq and favors its return. Mr. Obama’s vision for Afghanistan and Pakistan is much different than that of John McCain. Recently Obama said that we can negotiate with the peaceful Taliban. He further said, “We also have to help make the case that the biggest threat to Pakistan right now is not India. It’s actually the militants within their own border”. He vowed support to Pakistan’s Democratic Government.
“That means, by the way, not just providing military aid. It means also helping them to provide, you know, concrete solution of poverty and lack of education that exists in Pakistan. So, i want to increase non-military aid to Pakistan”, said Barack Obama.
Mr. Obama’s lead Saturday narrowed, scoring 49% to Mr. McCain’s 45%.Mr McCain is only 4 points behind in the national polls. No Republican has been elected till now without winning Ohio, where McCain is 5 points behind. What about Obama, who is advertising his campaign in Republican territory, like in Georgia, North Dakota and Arizona_his rival’s home state. The 72 years old McCain still needs to win in Pennsylvania.
Both campaigns have thousands of volunteers knocking doors, handing out brochures and manning phone banks. Election Officials are expecting some 130 million voters.
Obama, who became Senator at the age of 43, now is expected to be the President at 47. This graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, which later became a Civil Rights Lawyer, is expected to turn the page of politics to a new chapter of hope and trust.
