Karry Lugar bill if 1.5 billio
n dollar annual aid to Pakistan is ow approved by U.S senate and soon will be passed from house of representatives as well.
There are many requisites for this annual aid most of which are contrary to Pakistan interests and are direct attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty as it is also under attack by U.S drone attacks inside Pakistan territory and our government is acting like sitting duck.
While there has been nothing been said yet by our government people about this bill but there is staunch opposition in our media on the pre-requisites of this bill.
This bill will not only pave the way for U.S intervention in our military but also give U.S a blank check for anything it wants to do in Pakistan from attacking anywhere on the name of Taliban presence and just day after passing of this bill from Senate , a British newspaper has reported U.S is planning attacks on Quetta in the name of high value Taliban presence . A Pakistani official reported to respond on this issue as ” U.S has talked about attacks but has not intimidated“.
The so called Pakistan Ambassador to U.S Hussain Huqqani‘s role is very crucial but he has acted more like U.S government official then a Pakistani. He has repeatedly shown that he is servant of American interests and protects U.S interests more than even U.S officials.
Another requisite for this aid is direct access to any person found involved in Nuclear proliferation ,though it hasn’t mentioned any name but it is too a point against our sovereignty as no Pakistani can be handed over to U.S on just basis of allegations.
Just yesterday, American Ambassador to Pakistan A.W.Patterson has said ” American has capacity to attack Quetta as our forces are direct opposite to Quetta on other side of border“, This is a shameful situation and Pakistan must not allow the Ambassador to come back here in Pakistan.
It is all due to apologetic attitude of our Government and Mr Zardari’s zero percent knowledge of relations with other countries and talking nothing accept demanding aid like beggars.
The question is how long Zardari can stay in power on the basis of foreign aid and assurance of no military intervention in local politics.
