The Imposition of Governor rule in Punjab has been challenged in Lahore High Court. The petitioner has called for declaring this Governor rule illegal because there is no reason told for Governor Rule.
President Zardari imposed Governor rule in Punjab hours after verdict from Supreme court declaring Sharif Brothers illegible for contesting elections.
Mean while,there are Nation wide protests reported against the verdict and there is some loss of public property in Rawalpindi and some parts of Federal Capital.
Although apparent purpose of Governor rule seems to gather numbers for PPP government in Punjab as well but only time will tell who comes on top in political battle field but one thing is for sure it will be a mighty task for PPP to get required votes for government formation.
