Google,Internet giant and its employers supported Obama whole heartedly and even four Googlers were on the transition team of Obama.
Google chief executive Eric Schmidt campaigned for Obama and one of four Googlers on his transition team.
“Google is not just a benign corporate entity ,it has a variety of special interests”,said Jeff Chester,the executive director of the center for digital democracy,who has sparred with Google over data-privacy issues.
Competitors worry about Google close relation ship of Google with Obama administration,said Bill Whalen ,a resarch fellow at stanford University’s Hoover institution.
In 2007,Obama unveiled his “innovation agenda”during a visit to Google”s silicon valley campus. At an economic forum two weeks before the Presidential elections ,Obama praised the company as a “cutting-edge innovator”.
Google’s spokesman in Washington said “despite the personal support of Schmidt for Obama ,the company has a bipartisan strategy.
