March 3rd attack on Sri lankan team has left Pakistanis shocked and Pakistani Cricketers in a state of grave anxiety.
We are forced to think what is the future of cricket in this country after such a horrible incident . It is now clear no team will visit Pakistan for at least five years.
So should we let Cricket die in our country, destroy all infrastructure and young talent which has great potential to be at the top or we should encourage our cricketers at home believing one day there will again be International cricket in this country.
I think we should organize domestic events and give them new color and make public participation mandatory like there are club matches with great crowds in England.
This will not only show the world of our potential but also give our players much needed experience to rise and perform and show their potential.
I think there are positives in most of negative events and we must start work on a five year plan to promote and organize domestic tournaments in this country just like international events.
First of all we must install a good PCB Chairman who is conscientious and know the situation at ground and can manage people because, I think, current chairman Ijaz butt is not a right person for this job.
