MQM has been calling for efforts to stop Talibanization and there is a strong threat of Talibanization in Karachi,biggest revenue generating city of Pakistan.
MQM has never accepted the presence of Pushtoons in Karachi and relations are cold mostly between two parties.
MQM was the only party who opposed the Swat declaration(nizam-eadal).
Is there a real threat of Tlibanization in Karachi?
MQM started the campaign against Taliban about a year ago and every other day statement of Altaf from London added zest in MQM leaders against Taliban.

The reason why relations are cold is because more then 400 people were massacred by Pathans in karachi on 15 Dec 1986 in Qasba Aligerh Colony.
More over you may never find any statement of Altaf hussain or MQM against Pathans but what Shahi Syed president ANP and President Pukhtoon Loya Jirga can be seen in this video
